Ellie's Dance Lesson

Today I have quite simple card to share with you. Lovely image, pattern papers and some bling will do all the work for you :)

I used Digi version of Ellie's Dance Lesson stamp set. Image is colored with markers. Ups, looks like I have forgotten to color her eyes... Hmm... It's too late now. This card is already sent away. Now then I see it, Ellie looks a bit strange with white eye balls, but I have to forget it and move on...

I used digital pattern papers because I didn't want the sentiment to be on a separate layer. So I 'pasted' the sentiment directly to pattern paper and printed out together.

Silver Diamond Mesh Flower is colored with marker to add a pink tone to it. To the center of the flower I added SNS Dimensional Glue and Orchid Rose glitter.

I added pieces of Pink DiamondMesh, to embellish my card. Even though the strip of Diamond Mesh looks like it comes all the way from top to bottom I just used six diamonds in total and two single diamonds in corners of pattern paper.
I used Distressed Embossing Powder Technique to distress pattern papers and image with Tea Dye ink and Sparkle EP.

For matting layers I used White cardstock with 1/4" Double Sided "Tear-ific" Tape around the edges (Super Adhesive Sheet is used on the oval). Tape is covered with Orchid Rose glitter.

You still have time to participate in SNS Creative Challenges. All you have to do is use a loose glitter, embossing powder or flocking on your project.

Beautiful Friendship Purse

I like to make dimensional paper projects. Here is a purse shape gift box. It is very easy to make and addictive. I have made six purse already.

I liked Wonky Line Background stamp before I discovered how easy it is to spice up the plain cardstock with it. Now I love this stamp. It is perfect for paper purse :)
Pattern is stamped with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with Copper Kettle EP. It looks really pretty on top of the Burgundy CS.

I stamped small flower from Beautiful Friendship stamp set two times with Tuxedo Black ink, colored them with markers and fussy cut. One flower is popped up on top of another with foam tape.

To hide the magnet which keeps the purse closed I adhered a Silver Diamond Mesh Flower on top of it. I colored it with orange marker. To the center of the flower I added SNS Dimensional Glue and Sunset glitter.

The decorative strip in front flap and handle of the purse are decorated in the same way: I adhered 1/2" Double Sided "Tear-ific" Tape  to the white CS, covered tape with the Cloud Nine glitter and trimmed it to the correct size. Orange Diamond Mesh is attached with Bling Tape. I covered rest of the sticky parts with Sunset glitter.

The purse is kept closed with two magnets. On following photo you can see how the purse will open up.

Full directions of how this purse was made are in the SNS gallery.

You don't need any measurements to make this purse. I have them on the template but you can just print the template, cut it out and trace it to the cardstock you want to use. I cut little notches to mark the places where the score lines will go.

Candle box

It is time for a new challenge at the Stamping Sensation. The theme is Warm Autumn Colors with stamping.
What could be more nicer then to look warm candle light in those dark autumn evenings. So I thought to make a candle box. I found fantastic tutorial from Randi's Lille Blogg. I changed the measurements and the way my box will close. Instead of the ribbon I used magnets.

Our sponsor is fabulous Imagination Crafts. They offer £35 store voucher for our winner. Take a look to their online store. There are so many fantastic things. I want them all.

http://www.imaginationcrafts.co.uk/

I used beautiful Wisps of Autumn stamp set from Sparkle N Sprinkle. Image is stamped two times, colored with markers, cut in pieces and layered with foam tape. I used Sakura Glue Pen and golden glitter to add some sparkle. Sentiment is made in computer.

"Even though I haven't had a chance to thank you before, I have done it thousands time in my heart"
I used two pattern papers to decorate the box. Because I used lots of glitter I didn't want to add any more embellishments. Instead I stamp and fussy cut some leaves and acorns.

The box inside holds four tealight candles. I used golden brad as a  knob. The shelve opens only to the inside. The panel infront of the shelve is slightly larger then the box.

The shelve opens only to the inside. The panel infront of the shelve is slightly larger then the box.

I used two different digis stamp sets on my project - Welcome Autumn and Sunflower.

The sentiment is from Welcome Autumn set. It is cut with Label Twenty-One die. Edges are inked with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with Gold Detail EP. I also added some pearls made with Pearl Pen.

Digis are fantastic if you need mirror images. It is so easy to flip them. I printed two Sunflowers and fussy cut them out. They are colored with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. I added Bronze Splendor glitter to the flowers centers with Sakura Glue Pen.

I used white Crocheted Lace Ribbon and Pearl String to decorate inside of the shadow box. Lace is adhered to the square tube made from white cardstock.

I used Faux Montage Style Embossing Powder Splatter technique to make splatters from White Detail and Gold Detail EPs on top of the tissue paper.

I printed five copies of Welcome Autumn digi stamp. I colored them with markers and fussy cut to decopage the image. It took lots of time but I'm very pleased with the result.

Here is one more photo to show the fantastic texture of tissue paper and EP splatters.

White tissue paper is colored with three spray mists: Cosmic Shimmer Mist – Perfect Lime, Perfect Pearls Mist – Perfect Pearls and Tattered Angel Glimmer Mist – Crushed Shells. I started with Perfect Lime. I actually liked color on the back side more so I added rest of the mists to this side. Tissue paper is adhered to the box base with 2 1/2" Double Sided "Tear-ific Tape"
I used Suitcase Box template as a guide for my shadow box base. Cutting and scoring is similar to the Suitcase box but measurements are different. I used 23 x 28 cm white cardstock and scored it from all sides by 1 cm, 3 cm, 4 cm and 6 cm.

Full directions of my shadow box are in the SNS Gallery here. Now continue your hop with super talented Anita Scroggins. Don't forget to leave us a little comment. We love to read them and you could be a very lucky winner of the grand prize.

Sunflower

Autumn is officially here but it has shown his face for some time already. I made a summer inspired autumn card with beautiful Sunflower stamp set.

As usual, image is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Promarkers. I added Sakura Glue pen to the flower center and covered it with Dark Chocolate Flocking.

I covered cardstock with Super Adhesive Sheet to make the background. Pattern was cut with x-acto knife through the protective sheet. I peeled protective sheet pieces off and covered tape with glitters: Sunny Daze, Evening Glow, Tiger Orange and Luau Green in the bottom.

Matting layer for sentiment is die cut out of Sticker Paper and covered with Tiger Orange glitter. Around the sentiment is used Sunny Daze glitter.

The grass is also die cut out of Sticker Paper. I colored it from back side with green marker. Tape is  covered with Luau Green glitter.

Edges of the matting layer are covered with 1/4" Double Sided "Tear-ific" Tape and Dark Chocolate Flocking.

You can see full instructions of how I made this card in SNS Gallery here.

Mini Tags with a box

Can you belive it is less then four months until Christmas. Only 15 weekends to prepare.
I have one cute gift idea to share with you - a little gift box/Christmas tree ornament with 6 tags.  It is easy to make with a new Sweet Holiday Stamp set.

I stamped the house with VersaMark ink to the brown CS and heat embossed with White Detail EP. I added Liquid Pearls to color the house. After the 'frosting' was dry I fussy cut the house by leaving narrow border all around. Then I placed it to the piece of brown cs, traced it with a pencil and cut another house shape out with scissors.

I used 20,7 cm wide and 3cm long stip of brown cs to form a box between the two houses. On the template you can see excactly how I scored and folded it.

The box will open from the top.

Six Gingerbread Men lives in my little Gingerbread house. Each tag is slightly different from another.

Gingerbread men are colored and cut same way as is the front of the house. For the tags I adhered 2 1/2" Double Sided "Tear-ific Tape" to the white cs. They are die cut with a tag die from the Spellbinders Back to Basic Tags set. After removing the protective sheet I adhered the Gingerbreads to the tags. Rest of the tape is covered with Goldenrod and Fascination glitters.

I added some more glitter to the back of the tags with Sakura Glue pen.

Pearls on the ribbon ware originally white. I colored them with Flexmarkers. Blue tags got yellow pearls and yellow tags got blue pearls.

My idea was that after you use all the tags for the gifts, you can hang the box to the Christmas tree and use it as an ornament.

All the details of how this project is made are in the SNS Gallery here.

Stamp credits: Sweet Holiday #655
Embossing Powders: White Detail (EP298)

Coloring Medium:  Promarkers, Flexmarkers
