Stamping Sensation - August mid month

Hello my friends! One more week and I can say: "I'm back online". I miss visiting all your blogs. I can't wait to have more time to see what you have created. This summer has been busiest summer in my life. There was many nights I was awake late to make the DT projects and wrote blog posts but I was too tired to visit your blogs. I'm so sorry!
But now my two favorite projects from last year.

http://kaardimaania.blogspot.com/2014/06/suitcase.html

I chose first one because it was really interesting to figure out how to put it together and I love the effect from different embossing powders. They give a look of worn out leather. I always enjoy making flowers and to add them to my project. I shared this suitcase in June. There are also link to the full instructions and the template. The best thing about this suitcase is that it can also be used as a box.
My second project is from February.

http://kaardimaania.blogspot.com/2014/02/sparkle-n-sprinkles-fabruary-1-reveal.html

It had to be an easel card. This is my favourite card fold type. On this card I used first time embossing powders to colour the flowers. They don't look very realistic but I still love the result. It's fun to experiment. You never know what comes out.

You still have time to upload your project to Stamping Sensation Challenge blog where theme is Anything goes with stamping (real stamping, not digi).
And if you use loose glitter, embossing powder and/or flocking you can also participate at the Sparkle N Sprinkle Creative Challenge Blog where theme is always Anything goes (with loose glitter, embossing powder and/or flocking).

Thank you for the visit!
Hugs & smiles,
Eret

Die-Versions/Sparkle N Sprinkle Joint Blog Hop

Welcome to the Die-Versions and Sparkle N Sprinkle Blog Hop!

The joint blog hop with Die-Versions and Sparkle N Sprinkle begins today (7am EST) and goes until Aug 17th (5pm EST), so there will be plenty of time to check out all the great projects created by both teams.  The theme is Christmas, so you'll get lots of great inspiration for your upcoming Holiday cards.
Die-Versions manufactures low profile dies made right here in the United States and Sparkle N Sprinkle manufactures rubber stamps, glitters, embossing powders, and flocking, also made in the US.  This is like a match made in heaven - low profile dies combined with lots of bling!  Doesn't get much better than that.
One winner will receive a Grand Prize consisting of a $50 gift certificate from Die-Versions and a $50 gift certificate from Sparkle N Sprinkle, for a total of $100.  The winner will be announced on Aug 17th on both the DV Blog and the SNSBlog as well as their Facebook pages.
In order to be eligible for the Grand Prize, please:
  • Leave a comment on each Designer's blog
  • Follow both companies on Facebook (DV Facebook pageSNS Facebook page) if you haven't already so you can keep up to date on all the latest goings on.   (I'm sure that all of the Designers would love for you to Follow them too, but that isn't a requirement to win this prize.)
You should have arrived here from Anne's blog.  If not, then you should begin at the Die-Versions Blog and end at the Sparkle N Sprinkle Blog.  If you get lost along the way, you can go to either the DV Blog or the SNS Blog to see the complete list of participants.
We'd love it if you'd like to leave a comment at either the DV Blog or the SNS Blog telling us which projects were your favorites.  :-)

I used wonderful Santa's Reindeers die on my card. It is heat embossed with Black Detail embossing powder and I also added a layer of Black Magic EP on top. This die is awesome for Christmas cards. Of course Versamark ink is essential to apply EP. You can learn all about the heat embossing from the SNS Tips and Techniques.

I used the same circle to the mask off the moon from the background and later for the moon. Because of that there are traces of blue EPs on it too. I love how it adds more texture and some color. On top of it I used White Detail and Belgian Cream EPs. They are very similar by the color but different by the thickness. If you apply a thin and uneven coats of powders they will melt a bit bumpy and gives awesome texture to the moon.

I had so much fun for to make this awesome and sparkly background. I used three EPs to achieve the result of starry night sky: Satin Velvet, Dark Night and Sparkle EP. First I heat embossed cardstock with Satin Velvet EP. I added two coats of it to get a smooth result. Then I added  Dark Night EP to the edges and some to the middle. While heat embossing EP will melt to each other. Then I was happy with my blue sky I heat embossed entire layer  with Sparkle EP.

Sentiment is one of my recent favorite winter stamp set - Winter Stream. It is stamped with Versamark Ink directly on top of the embossed background and heat embossed with White Detail EP.
Matting layer is done out of  Sticker Paper. Bottom part is punched with a border punch. Sticker Paper is covered with Victorian Christmas Glitter.

You can find a full instructions of how this card was mad in the SNS gallery here.

Your next stop on the blog hop is Mary.

We hope you enjoy this blog hop and it gives you lots of inspiration! Don't forget to leave each of us a comment and follow both Die-Versions and Sparkle N Sprinkle on Facebook.

Daisies

Last month SNS released a beautiful stamp set named Daisies. It's wonderful for any occasion.

Image is stamped with Tuxedo Black ink and it's colored with Promarkers. I applied Sakura Glue Pen to the flower centers and covered it with Cherry Lemonade glitter. I used largest die from Spellbinders Ovals set to trace an inner oval around the image and fussy cut the oval and part of the image out with scissors. I drew a frame around the oval edge with yellow marker and applied Sakura Glue Pen on top of it. Glue was covered with Cherry Lemonade glitter.
I used previously used die to die cut an oval out of black CS (you can also use a white CS and color edges with black marker). I added SNS Brushable Glue to the edges and covered it with Black Suede Microfine glitter. After it was dry I adhered the image layer on top.

Bottom matting layer is black CS covered with 1/2" Double Sided "Tear-ific" Tape and Black Suede Microfine glitter. Layer on top of it is yellow CS covered with 1/4"Double Sided "Tear-ific" Tape and Cherry Lemonade glitter. I also made some glitter "pearls" with SNS Dimensional Glue and Black Suede Microfine glitter to the corners of pattern papers.

Pearl swirls are made with Liquid Perls. To make it easier I stamped the Diasies image with Versamark ink over the panels. This ink is visible enough to let me see where the swirls should be.

I forgot to make a yellow line to the edge of the banner. But this is a good sample to let you see how different Cherry Lemonade glitter can be if you use it on different color CS.

It's wonderful stamp set to play with.  Daisies stamp set is also available as Digi set.

Materials Used:
Stamps: Daisies #619
Glitters: Black Suede (GM2009), Cherry Lemonade (G1118)
Inks: Memento - Tuxedo Black, Versamark ink (optional)
Dies: Spellbinders - Ovals
Coloring Medium: Promarkers, Flexmarkers
Embellishments: Liquid Pearls - Baby Blue
Cardstock: White, Black (optional), Yellow (optional), Two coordinating pattern papers (Paper Street Designs -Molly)

Thank you for the visit!

Stamping Sensation August challenge

It's time for a new challenge at the Stamping Sensation. This month we have super easy theme: Anything goes.
As always you can enter up to three times, combine with other challenges, all we ask is that as our name suggest we do want to see some stamping as a focal element of your work, entries not fitting that  requirement may well receive comments from the DT but those entries will not be eligible for the prize and Top 3 spots.

Tonic Studios are our lovely sponsors this month, they are synonymous with quality and precision cutting products from scissors to punches, guillotines to dies and also a range of clear stamp sets and design paper pads as well. Their products are available from many High Street craft stores and frequently feature on Create and Craft TV. Here is the wonderful prize of  the newly released matching punch and die set Twisted Twine 674e and 584e with a rrp of £39,98....

I needed a quick card and I just didn't had any ideas what to make so I cased (or more like copied) a fantastic card by Kristina Werner.First I didn't plan to share it but then I thought it is a good chance to share how to make an stamps your self.

The leaves a are made with Fun Foam and a die from Spellbinders Sprigs set. Sprig is cut in pieces and adhered to a clear plastic (package of the dies). Then I put some drops of Tombo Multi -Talent Liquid Glue behind the plastic, let it dry and you have a stamp ready to use on your projects.

All the stamping is done with the VersaMark ink and heat embossed with a Clear Detail embossing powder. Everything is colored with Distress Inks. I added some "raindrops" with Glossy Accents. The fern is made with air-dry clay and Martha Stewart silicon mold.

You have until 3rd August to participate in the challenge.

Materials used:
Stamp Credit: Sparkle N Sprinkle - Dahlia #500
Inks: Versamark ink; Distress Ink - Warn Lipstick, Shaded Lilac, Dusty Concord
Embossing Powders; SNS Clear Detail EP
PapersWhite CS, Watercolor CS, Purple CS
Dies: Spellbinder -Sprigs

Other supplies: Fun Foam, Ranger - Glossy Accents, Twine, Clay Fern

Thank you for the visit!

Wonder which Designer contains the Grand Prize this month?

I used wonderful Wisps of Autumn Stamp set  as a focal point. Images are stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Promarkers. The sentiment and the branch in the upper left corner are stamped the same paper. After image was colored and die cut with SB Label Two die I added some Summer Sky and Pistachio inks to all around the sentiment. I fussy cut two leaves and one branch.

I used Crackle Background to stamp the pattern to the white CS with VersaMark ink. Then I covered the ink with White Detail EP and heat set. Embossed squares are inked with Dandelion, Pistachio and Scattered Straw inks. Matting layers are covered with DarkChocolate flocking.

All the layers are popped up with foam tape. I also used foam tape to attach the leave and the branch.
