Spring birthday

Hello my sweet friends. I made three cards today. Well, they all was almost done but it still feels good to finish three cards in a day :) Here is one of them.
My friend asked to make a A5 card with a pocket for money. I really like this card and I wanted to make something similar. I just had to figure out where the pocket will go.

Sentiment: "Life is nothing without friends"
I had so much fun making it. I used lots of different die cuts and some punches. Earlier this week I got a package and all the goodies was packed inside of the dark pink crepe paper. I made some flowers out of this for my card. In center of them are light green pearls (even though they look gold on the photo). Soft lilac flowers are made with same die cuts. I used lacy border punch to make holes in petals edges. In center of them is two layers of white flower soft. First layer was colored with Soft Mauve Flexmarker and second layer was kept white.
It's third time in today then thunder storm is going over my house. I unplugged all the electronic devises and also Internet. I'm glad I have laptop so I can write this post. It is a bit scary to sit under the window and watch the lightning. I hope it will pass soon.

View with a pocket
Back to my card... I made a pocket inside of the Z flap. It was perfect place for that. I wouldn't like to leave it undecorated anyway :) To find a place for a pocket was easy. My main problem was there people will sign the card. It's going to have many signatures. This I thought that I will decorate the back side of the card too and people can put their names in there. But luckily before falling a sleep at night I came up with better idea. The poem inside of the card is attached with a brad so it can be moved and under that is a place for signatures.

Materials used:
Papers: 12"x12" paper pack bought from Tiimari; White and cream papers from my stash; pink crepe paper - recycled
Inks: TH Distress Inks - Tea Dye (edges of pattern paper), Milled Lavender (on die cuts and punches), Pine Needle (rose leaves); Memento - Pear Dart (rose leaves)
Coloring: Meadow Green Promarker (Flourishes), Soft Mauve Flexmarker (flower centers)

Dies: Spellbinder - Floral Ovals, Rose Creations, Foliage, Radiant Rectangles, Fantastic Flourish Two; Cheery Lynn Designs - Fanciful Flourish Right

Great Outdoors

Hello my sweet friends. It's new week and it's time for a new Digi Makeover Challenge at the Paper Makeup Stamps blog. This week it all about Great Outdoors. Show us anything you can do outside.

No think outside of a box with this card. It is obvious that in spring lots of people are in their gardens and plant the seeds. So I just had to use Sprout image. She is so pretty.

Sentiment: You are so special
My lovely flower dies don't get a lot of attention from me. So I used some of them from my stash of dies. All flowers and leaves are colored with markers. In flower centers I used white FlowerSoft. After it was clued in place I colored it yellow.
I'm true Rat. I collect lots of stuff but never use any. The designer papers have been on my stash for a while.

So far I've used distress inks and masking to color the sky but  this time I decided to try something new. It is first time I colored the sky with markers. It was much easier then I thought it would be. It went really quick. I used three Flexmarkers for that: Glassier Blue, Cool Aqua and Blue Grey 1 (or maybe it was BG 2).

Now it's your turn to share a project with your favorite color and don't forget to use a digi image on it. Head over to the Paper Makeup Stamps blog to see the rules and prize. You also get lots of inspiration by my super talented team members.

Mother's Day

Tomorrow is Mother's Day. Happy Mother's Day to all mother. Here is my card to my darling mom. I made her an center step card with adorable image from Mo's Digital Pencil. I won it long time ago and waited a perfect chance to use it.

Sentiment: "To world best Mom"
Image is colored with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. Sentiments are made by me. I also made a red rose myself. Putting together a rose is difficult for me. I've always started with center and added layers to bottom. It took me so long time because pieces didn't stay in my hands. But now I saw amazing video tutorial in Joanna Sheen blog and making a rose has never been easier. I used Cheery Lynn rose die instead but technique was same. I still can't believe how easy it was :)

Picture below shows the inside of the card. My cat decided that he wants to sign the card too.  Luckily his paws wasn't muddy this time. He has ruined few cards in past like this. But this has given me a chance to be more creative to find out ways how to cover it :) Even though on this card it would be even nice to have cat paw print on it.

Materials used:
Stamps:
Mo's Digital Pencil - Bunches

White and burgundy papers from my stash.

Let's go to swing!

Hello my friends. Spring is here and it is in my heart. Grass is growing and land is turning green. And trees has very tiny leaves on them. I love the sunshine and warm weather. But now: it is time for a new challenge over the Paper Makeup Stamps. This week we want to see your favorite color.

My favorite color is blue. I planned a lots of blue on my card but somehow it disappeared in all the green and brown. I know my card looks similar to my last week card but right now I truly enjoy creating spring scenes.

I used Greg Fairy on a swing on my card. This image looks like it's meant to use on a tent card. I love the idea that Greg is actually swinging on my card :)  Both blue background papers are made by me. On the cloud paper I also used tree and hills from PolkaDoodle Picknix CD. The tree on front of the card is also from same CD. The rope on the tree is drawn with black marker and colored with white gel pen.

Now it's your turn to share a project with your favorite color and don't forget to use a digi image on it. Head over to the Paper Makeup Stamps blog to see the rules and prize. You also get lots  of inspiration by my super talented team members.

No stamping

Evening my friends! I really love to color stamped images but this time I decided to make something different. Here's a card with no stamping and absolutely nothing digital. I didn't even add a sentiment to it because I didn't want to use a computer. I surprised myself because I usually enjoy using computer for card making.

My new Spellbinder dies arrived few days ago. They are gorgeous and I wanted to use them asap. This card is the reason why I ordered Radiant Rectangles dies at first place. I wanted to make similar card so here it is. I had to use my favorite color - blue. I like blue with everything but specially with brown :)

I wanted to make some clear arcs with pearls on it but I couldn't find any fishing line for it so I cut narrow strips from acetate and  it was perfect. I just added few drops of clue to keep pearls moving around on the acetate strip. I love how it turned out.

Materials used:
Dies: Spellbinders Shapeabilities - Radiant Rectangles, Foliage, Rose Creations
Inks: TH Distress Inks - Broken China, Tea Dye
Papers: Blue and white papers from my stash
Embellishments: Viva Decor Pearl Pen - Ice White; White pearls and acetate from my stash

Celebration

Hello my friends. It's new week and it's time for a new Digi Makeover Challenge at the Paper Makeup Stamps blog. This week it all about Celebration: any celebration - birthday, graduation, new baby, new home, marriage, anniversary, etc as long your project as a digi image on it.

Kirsten Fairy is something I've wanted to use a  long time. She is so lovely sitting on the grass and blowing the dandelion seeds. It's way to early for dandelions jet but I couldn't wait the summer to use her. So I decided to put a cherry tree beside her to make the card look a bit more like spring :)

Sentiment: May all your Birthday wishes come true...
Then I print out digis I usually print two of them, just in case if I mess up the coloring, I have second copy of the image ready to color. After coloring the image, I didn't like the color of her shirt and leg warmers. I was too lazy to color other image all over again so I just colored her shirt and legwarmer again, cut them out and clued them in place. Like a paper piecing :)
I love to follow the sketch while making my card. This is the first time I use two sketches on same card. These sketches are almost the same :)
